About us
“For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat…” (Matthew 25:35)
Who we are
At Jesus Is Lord, we believe in being the hands and feet of Christ by providing not only physical nourishment but also spiritual encouragement to those in need. Founded by Cecelia Clarke five years ago, our nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization was born out of a desire to reflect the love and compassion of Jesus in every act of service.
Through simple yet profound acts like making bag lunches for the homeless, feeding families struggling at the end of the month, and offering aid during disasters, we aim to carry out the commandment of Christ to love one another as He has loved us. (John 13:34)
Our Mission: Feeding the Body and Soul
Inspired by the Apostle John, often called the apostle of love, we focus on meeting both physical and spiritual needs. As John wrote:
“Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” (1 John 3:18)
In every meal we prepare, every card of encouragement we craft, and every Gospel of John we distribute, we strive to embody this call to love in action.
Our approach
Our Core Values
- Compassion: Reflecting Jesus’ heart for the vulnerable and the marginalized.
- Faith: Anchoring every service in the hope and redemption found in Christ.
- Love: Sharing the Gospel and spreading God’s love to a world in need.
Our ministry extends to:
- Feeding the Hungry: From bag lunches to dinners for struggling families, we provide sustenance to those in need.
- Disaster Relief: Supporting communities affected by natural disasters, such as families impacted by floods in North Carolina.
- Encouragement Ministry: Creating handmade angels, stress-relief “babies,” and cards to bring hope and joy.
- Spiritual Outreach: Sharing the Gospel of John, reminding everyone of God’s eternal love and salvation through Christ.
Why We Serve
Our service is grounded in the understanding that we are all God’s children, called to care for one another. As followers of Jesus, we embrace His teaching:
“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of Mine, you did for Me.” (Matthew 25:40)
Whether it’s providing a meal, offering words of encouragement, or simply listening, we see Jesus in everyone we serve.
We invite you to join our mission to feed bodies, uplift souls, and share the love of Christ. Together, we can make a difference, one act of kindness at a time.
“And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13:13)
We believe in the transformative power of Jesus, who said:
“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
Through our work, we pray that weary hearts will find not only rest but also renewed hope in Him.
